Ofelia Market

So last weeken I was at Ofelia Market's lolita fashion show. It was called princesses of Winter
The credit for the photos goes to Askar Ibragimov

One of my favorite outfits was Pitsiperhonen's mori inspired coordinate with antlers.

Dear Santa

For some reason winter isn't inspiring me at all. While others are pining over fur and velvet, I'm still sighing over light as a feather fabrics, picnic baskets, strawhats and bonnets and parasols. I get horribly envious when I see pictures of green nature.

1.There would be one wintery thing in my wish list though. IWs muff
I've had my eye on this for a long time. I don't understand why ("normal") people have stopped using them.

2. Nearly any bonnet from here Bonnets are pure love. I need a white bonnet. My dark hair would look good against it.

3. Hello dream dress! Love the colour, love the simple elegant design.

       4. Lace collars. I had a very pretty one of my grannys as a kid. And then I cut it and sew it to my Barbies dress...Oh, how I regret that now!

5. Granny boots. One can never have enough of pretty granny boots for the winter. Something adorable with the fur pom poms from Baby (That my kitties would love to kill in a second.) and somethin more historically correct looking for classic

So what would your Santa letter look like? Of course the best one is Dear Santa can you bring me everything from my favorite brands, thanks. Yes, that would work...

Very much looking forwards to Ophelia market. See you there!

Last weekend in a Chinese restaurant with Hubby.
(Sadly they have perfect camourflage, but I had the pinecones in my head)

I know I've already posted a picture like this, but just so you know both Tättis and Star Song are also spying on your blogs.

I so want to wear my kittymas lights as an accessory this year...

The ballet bunny

So I has a small photoshoot and took a few pictues in lolita also...I got a few giggles asking ae my ears ok, instead of hair. (I probably should have asked the latter...)

I hope you won't mind a few non lolita- related ballet photos every now and then. I guess if you follow my blog you can't hate ballet that much.

At the grave yard again.

This time with the lovely Mademoiselle Parapluie, who was kind enough to invite me for a vistit

Hopefully there will be some better shots in her camera as mine is no good for these or often any kind of conditions.

But we will definitely go there again, sometime in the future, when the conditions are better. Even my godless pagan heart warms up for angel statues. It was very cold and it took lots of tea and a pizza to get us warm again.

Night lolita!

I was watching some Misako Aoki videos on youtube. (How can a person be such pure cuteness?)
And I started missing Japan horribly. The polite bowing smiling peole who apreciate cuteness and prettiness and lolita stores and yummy food. So what happens is that not having slept well in ages I suddenly get an urge to lolify for awhile around 2 AM...Does that ever happen to anyone else.

Me with my new big fashion Fluttershy
I glued some pinecones and an acorn on hairpins for a slightly morier accessory

Japan I miss you!

Recent randomness

So I dyed my hair completely black again. I like being an enemy of Clerasil and Snow White is my idol.
I got through another performance of Cascades from Elite Syncopations.
(Picture is last spring not yesterday. Sadly I had no time or energy to take pictures.)
I can't say it went particularly well, but I do love performing. The air is just different on stage. It's an aquarium of something else. I love loosing myself and all words in movement.

A very casual outfit when I went to see my friend on Friday. I just couldn't wait using the Paris Window skirt.
The pink days continue. I lived in a pink room all my childhood. Then when teenage set in, I just couldn't stand pink anymore. The usual story, black/dark colours are my armor. Maybe I've gone full circle back to pink again. (Detail: I'm wearing my Essi's world's happy pill necklace.)

Cloudberry lady is having a giveaway!

Hurry here! I also really liked their Laululintu collection. If I had not been robbed I would really have bought the violet skirt or grey OP...Well there's a small chance the bank might pay me some of it back, but I'm always a pessimist.

Wide Sargasso Sea

This was a book by Jean Rhys I wanted to read for a long time. I saw the 1993 movie version of it many years ago. The floating seaweeds were an image that kind of got stuck in my head.

I resently also bought the new movie version.
(Narated trailers always seem so corny)
Yes it's a sort of prequel to Jane Eyre. (Another one of my favorite books) "There is always another side to every story." Rebekka Hall does a beautiful job, but Rafe Spall is dissapointingly stiff and woody Mr. Rochester.

I finally ordered the book. It was short but very poetic and touching. Or is it just that for me Antoinette is a character I find scarily easy to relate to. Having been bullied for my exotic looks and just often been made to feel like a foreigner in the land I was born in having never known any other. Just like Antoinette is looked down upon for being Creole and suffering from confusion of identity having been rejected by others all her life. And having inherited  a trait that some call madness or maybe just over sensitivity and sadness from my mother. Jane Eyre is a story if what if secretly she was loved this is a story of what if she was not.

“‘Rose elle a vecu,’ I said and laughed. ‘Is that poem true? Have all beautiful things sad destinies?’
‘No, of course not.’”

It's not a Brontë, but it is very beautiful

Creme de la Garderobe

I found one of my favorite prints Baby´s Paris Window in a pink skirt.

I thought I would buy  more JSKs and OPs from now on but this was just a must have print. I also bought a nice squirrel shirt from Tiina Talvikki.
And what I did to my poor cellphone:

Alas, hand coordination for small things has never been one of my talents. I really wish it were.
Kata and me being rabbits in our similar Baby's bunny coats

The Cafe Villipuutarha (Wild Garden) has always been one of my favorites. The unique interior creates a lovely atmosphere.

Inspired by Asio Otus a few challenges for myself
-As I can't buy new clothes for awhile (my wallet got pick pocketed and my bank account cleaned out :( ...) I will try to be more creative with my old ones. Less matchy matchy, and not be afraid to try out something new.
-Try new make up and hair styles.
- After the performance on Saturday is over (who ever invented unitards must die a million deaths slowly) and holidays are coming I will try to bake more stuff. Something yummy and hopefully aestetically pleasing.
- Try to learn to crochet do some crafting of my own unique accessories

Night walk to the graveyard

So first outfit for today. Or more so the nightley outfit:
The new Baby JSK that was unlucky enough to be my first Closet Child purchaise that got stuck in customs. The crochetted little pink flowers have a lovely country feeling. country lolita is something I have a big soft spot for.

So it being all Hallows Eve my hubby and I decided to take a walk in the graveyard between  1-2 AM.
All, the candles are so pretty. And I love graveyards they are so peaceful. Well we weren't the only ones who got that idea. I suddenly saw something small and pale and ghostly very quietly crawling behind the tombstones. But it wasn't a ghost, it was the friendly even though slightly timid neighborhood cat.

Eagerly waiting for Crème de la Garderobe tomorrow.

Follow the white rabbit, oh wait I am the white rabbit

The post man brought me my new Baby Coat and IW skirt early (way too early) on a Tuesday morning.
So I had to take it out today, when I finally had the time. (All the time spent trying to curl my hair was obviously wasted...)

(Kääpä niinkuin minä)

Hopefully hubby will find the coat huggable too, because "it's so fluffy I'm going to die" and I wan´t to hug it all the time.

IW doll family's Autumn walk

Antoinette, Cordelia and Delphine

Delphine riding the "witches broom"

Cordelia comtemplating the early sunset
Antoinette climbed a tree

There was an abandoned bird's nest.

And Delphine relaxed with a mushroom
